On Saturday afternoon Daddy and Noah went to plow up the lower garden down on the property. Noah is getting ready to plant our spring garden. Right now we have an abundance of broccoli! Mmmmmmm.

Late Wednesday afternoon the Sanders Family (not including Noah) headed down to the Morton’s home. Noah and Momma’s brother, Uncle Brooke, had been down there since Monday morning to help serve their family by helping out with the barn and various other jobs. After we arrived, the next two days were a flurry of excitement as we made preparations for the wedding day.

Martha ironing (look at that steam!) LOL!
Sweet Ivy helping finish up sewing the last two armbands for the bridesmaids. They had to be hand sewn because both sewing machines broke! Fun times!

All of us girls sat outside in the cool of the evening and finished sewing all the last minute items. What wonderful memories!
The view down the aisle. Doesn’t the barn look lovely?
Amanda and I spent a lot of time on this fence!
Daddy and uncle Frank working hard!
On Friday afternoon the girls got to work setting 450 places! It was a race with the wind! As soon as we would finish a table and were about to put a cloth over it, the wind would blow the cups everywhere! LOL
With everyone pitching in it didn’t take long at all!

On Thursday, Aunt Jeanine and Aunt Jacqueline, treated the bridesmaids to a luncheon with Katie at the famous Three Crazy Bakers! It was such a special time for us girls! Katie dear gave each of us bridesmaids an antique handkerchief! We will treasure them always Katie May(you are so special to all our hearts. We love you!).

On Friday morning some of the girls headed down into the woods to gather some greenery. We brought along our breakfast (pumpkin bread, banana nut bread and fruit) and had a jolly time! It was a special time with Katie May!
And off we go……….
Hungry anyone?
We lined up on this tree and ate our breakfast. Several times we heard some cracking noises, but it never did break!
Doesn’t Katie May paint a beautiful picture?
My dearest Enileda! What fun!
Inspecting what we had gathered.
After dumping what we had gathered so far into a bathtub, we decide to try the woods in the front of the house. We all pile in Wesley’s truck and our wonderful driver Adeline took us.
We found lots of honeysuckle.
