A Visit With the Morton Girls!!

12:33 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2006

Last week the Morton girls came back home with our family from Kressant and Michael’s betrothal ceremony! I was delighted to see them since I hadn’t been able to attend the ceremony. We had so much fun together and made many wonderful memories that some day we will get together and laugh about! We give thanks to the Morton family for letting us have all of their wonderful girls for a few days! Especially Aunt Jeanine who sacrificed the most in their absence. We had lots of fun together as we did our daily chores, swam, went on the zip line, made record time on the obstacle course (LOL!), watched Andy Griffith and ate ice cream, gave foot and back rubs, and somehow we even succeeded to go on an unexpected roller coaster ride ending up on the floor! LOL! The Sanders’ Girls thank the Morton girls for a special visit!

Sewing, Sewing, Sewing…….

12:30 pm on Wednesday, May 31, 2006

As for Darthy and me, well.. we were the laundry ladies for the week! LOL! Collecting, sorting, washing, folding and putting away clothes. We enjoyed many conversations together as we worked and folded! I had a delightful time getting to talk with you, Dorothy! J In between loads or whenever we could find a spare moment, we would run up to the sewing room. We thought it would be fun to make two matching skirts! What wonderful memories!

Meeting Judge Roy Moore

12:37 pm on Friday, May 26, 2006

Last night (Thursday) our family went to a town meeting featuring gubernatorial candidate Judge Roy Moore. We are excited that God has raised up such a godly man of principle as Judge Moore to run for Alabama Governor. Daddy had been asked to MC the event and had the honor of introducing the speakers, including Judge Moore, who spoke for about an hour. Food was served afterwards and the girls helped some with getting it ready and setting it out.
