Out to Eat, What a Treat!

Last night Grammy and Grandpa Gene treated us to dinner at Niffer’s!  Niffer’s is a favorite restaurant of our family and we were delighted to get to go.  We had a lovely time and all had plenty to eat!  Thank you Grammy & Grandpa Gene! ~R~

There it is!

Waiting for a our table. Restaurants aren’t used to accommodating our  size families, so we had quite a wait. LOL!

Whack!!!

What to order, what to order.

My sweet sissie!

Our charming hosts!

There was a man there making balloon figures. He made all the little guys swords and a very deformed but cute chicken.

Smile girls, smile!

The man himself I presume!

Like Father, Like Son…..

When Daddy was little he liked to play Cowboys and Indians just like our little boys do now. He had this one shirt that was his “Cowboy Shirt” he always wore. Daddy liked his cowboy shirt so much that Grammy said she could never wash it fast enough before he had it back on again! Grammy kept that shirt tucked away all these years because she said, “You never know if one of your kids might grow up and someday become the president or somebody famous, then I would be able to have it for public display and I could say, ‘My son wore this when he was a little cowboy.’” Through the eyes of his family, he is somebody famous to us and  he might not have become the president of the United States, but he is the president and Patriarch of our household.  Recently Grammy gave us Daddy’s well worn and loved shirt! It fit Gabriel perfect and I took his picture in it.

Right now we have Grammy and Grandpa Gene here for a visit! We are enjoying them so much. Noah and Grandpa Gene have already done bees and now are outside building raised beds. I asked Grammy if she had a picture of Daddy in his Cowboy shirt. She said she thinks she has one at home and will try to find it for us. The only picture we have is the one below with Aunt Toody (Daddy’s sister) and Daddy playing. We had the pleasure of having Aunt Toody down here for a few days last week. I will post some pictures of her visit and some of Grammy and Grandpa Gene soon.

Our family spent Christmas Day with Momma’s parents and siblings.

First Daddy read the scriptures to everyone!

Everyone gathered around to listen.

Even the dog. LOL! That is Uncle Todd, Momma’s brother. We had a wonderful time visiting with him and Aunt Christi.

Uncle Brooke (Momma’s other brother) made all the Sanders Boys wooden swords! Thank you Uncle Brooke, you definitely know what our boys like! LOL.

What excitement.

Granddaddy made them all shields too! What a sweetie.

There is something wrong with this picture. This is a boy in training, he hasn’t quite gotten down who he is suppose to protect….yet.
