It is a very rare occasion that you see Eman not holding a lizard of some sort that he caught. We have a whole container of them on our back porch; the ones that couldn’t escape the fast and sly movements of Eman. He is quite the expert now at catching any size lizard in any place he happens to find them! LOL!

May God bless your weekend with your family!

These are some pictures from a few days ago at lunchtime. Poor Nehemiah was so sleepy he could hardly finish his food! LOL! So he decided that he would suck his fingers, hold his Minko (blanket), look at a book and then maybe take a bite of his sandwich every once in a while. I couldn’t resist taking a few pictures….he was such a cutie.
He is definitely a Sanders- reads books at the table.
“Hey, what are you doing?”
Momma: “Finish you sandwich Nehemiah so you can take your nap.”

Our family is blessed to be able to make and enjoy fresh whole wheat bread! We usually make it once a week. It is so delicious and healthy! Yesterday Abbi made some and I thought I would share some pictures I took.

Editor’s Note: This is a narrative (by Noah) of the happenings back at the homefront, whilst we girls and Daddy were at the Father/Daughter Retreat.

A couple of weekends ago some friends of ours came and put a roof on our new pole barn and shed. On Friday afternoon we set the trusses and laid the purlins (or lathings) on the barn, finishing up by flashlight. On Saturday we attached the metal roofing to the barn and put the trusses, purlins, and roofing on the shed. They look great! Many thanks to Edgar, Willie, Cleveland, Wesley, Andrew, and Alan. Their eager hands saved us so much time!
An efficient and skilled team of brothers.

A job well done!
Some nice shade.

We also managed to find time to try out some scuba diving in the pool. After some instructions from Alan, several of us guys gave it a try in the freezing water. It was quite an experience to be sure. Lots of memories and fun times!
Out at the pool.
All the mothers and little boys come out to watch the fun.
Here I am, all geared up.

The other day our family all filed into a local store that had a bountiful supply of the well known and loved Crocs. It all started back at home where Grace had been asked by Grandmother what she wanted for her upcoming birthday. She requested some Crocs, but wanted to pick them out herself since she didn’t know what color or size. The next thing I know, Ethan comes running in and tells me that we are “Leaving to get Crocs!” Then runs back out again before I could question him. Since I hadn’t been in on the conversations downstairs, I was quite confused about what was going on. I headed downstairs and found out that it had been decided that everyone was going to get some Crocs using their money given to them from last Christmas (except Grace). So we loaded everyone up and headed into town.
Anyways, here we all were in the store with twenty plus pairs of shoes (some belonging to us and some having been drug off the shelf to be tried on) scattered all over the floor. Quite a sight to behold, I’m sure, for the others shopping in the store, but to our family it wasn’t too unusual. Finally everyone had found a pair they liked that fit them. We looked around and everyone had chosen the same color, brown! LOL! It wasn’t planned that way, but I guess it show how like-minded we all are. We all had the same idea in mind, it doesn’t show dirt and it is a pretty neutral color that will go with most anything. Our little boys liked it because they said it was a “camo” color.
So needless to say, our family are all owners of Crocs. And yes, we do get quite a few more stares than usual if we are all wearing them when in town. People are used to seeing them worn, but not a whole family of ten all wearing them. LOL! These shoes are very lightweight and extremely comfortable. We heard they helped people who had knee problems. So we bought a pair for our Great-Grandfather on his birthday earlier this year. He loves them and wears them all the time.
Warning: Once you slip your foot into one of these, the shoes in your closet will start collecting dust!
Lined up ready for anything.
