… to entertain our family. LOL! Just give us a pack of light sticks, a moonless night and a camera.
Grace was red, Ethan yellow, Bekah blue and Noah green.
Daddy overlapping two for a neat effect.
A Mother and Father pair.
Slow shutter speed resulted in this work of art.
Gracie dear.
Going crazy.
It’s Nee-hi-the-miah!
Momma looped hers inside Daddy’s circle. Pretty neat!
Where’d it go?
Tossing a ball up to try and get someone’s light stick out of a branch.

Bekah’s homemade, scrumptious, turtle cheesecake. Made upon Momma’s request for her birthday.
Just finished a yummy supper and waiting on dessert.
Kind of tired, but got lots accomplished that day!
Happy Birthday, Momma!
The best cheesecake I’d ever eaten!

The pond is only a couple inches from the top now.
Back to the shop to pack everything up and head back home for supper.

See that hill off in the distance? The peak you can barely see through the trees behind the treehouse. Late Saturday afternoon some of us decided to go and hike up it before heading home. We wanted to do it before the view at the top got too obscured by the leaves. So we set out…
It was pretty steep at some places-actually the whole way. We had to cross the ‘crick’ at the foot of the hill before making our way upwards. That was the more likely place for snakes. Grace has her own snake story to tell from this excursion and sometime you’ll have to ask her about it. LOL!
Daddy heading up.
The Summit!
Lookin’ out at the view.
There were some huge rocks at the top.
Restin’.
Mr. Scott.
We grow rocks around here. Every time it rains reveals another crop of ‘em.
Telling stories of other adventures.
Bekah checking to see what got in Grace’s eye. Probably just a piece of dirt.
So gorgeous.
Noah was very wise in bringing a walking stick. Maybe it was cause he’d been there before!
Farewell.
Oh, and yes, I did actually climb the hill as well (even though there’s no pictures to prove it). I just came for the food as the photographer though. No, just kidding. I really love to hike!

…afternoon with your family and friends. Thank you Lord for times like these. Help us not to take them for granted, but to have grateful hearts.
Dangling legs.
Little boys get their ride.
Sunny.
Bekah, Grace and Noah out at the treehouse.
Enjoying the entertainment being provided at the treehouse.

That isn’t lightweight!
Down come the ladies.
Taking off all the plastic.
Man, we forgot our bottle of champagne. LOL!

Sailing off…or I mean, paddling off.

On Saturday the whole fam got to enjoy the day at the property. Mr. Scott and the guys headed up there early to get some work done and then we girls and Nehemiah (our little escort) joined them later- we got to sleep in. J Grandmother, Granddaddy and don’t forget Rosie (the dog) came and met us there too! They stayed the weekend with us and it was lots of fun.
Just arrived.
We found Noah and Mr. Scott working on the bathroom.
Greeting Grandmother.
Yes, Noah DOES know how to use a hammer. LOL! He was actually extracting nails in this picture rather than putting them in as it appears.
Mr. Scott was willing to offer his construction skills much to our appreciation.
Daddy mowing along the water line to prevent snake appealing places.
A huge frog the boys found in the creek. They eventually let him go in the pond.
“Those are some good frog legs!”
Mr. Scott showing Noah some tips and techniques.
Out the shop window.

Note: I wrote this last week before I found out I couldn’t post pictures. But thankfully Daddy was able to fix it last night!
After church on Sunday we headed over to the Ford’s place for lunch. Every year they host a lunch for people to come and have extended fellowship time after the Father/Daughter Retreat. They were very kind to extend their invitation to us, even though we didn’t attend the Retreat this year, and so we brought along a batch of cookies and Mr. Scott (we call him our “adopted family member”). Lots of conversations catching up with old friends and making new ones was the order of the afternoon. Enjoy!
Little gathering area.
Fathers sharing visions-Daddy and Mr. Turley.
“And so, as I was saying…”
“Down that hill is the creek…”
Fast growing little Bret! Love those eyes.
In which Bethy tries to show us her and Madi’s tea dresses she made. And upon arriving at the car, it was amazing found locked. LOL!
Oh look, the window is cracked two inches! So breaking into their own vehicle is what ensued. Cuties!
Success! We were all grateful though, that Bethy knew how to turn off the car alarm. And yes, we did get to finally view their gorgeous dresses.
Was kind of cool out that afternoon if you weren’t in the sun. So I see these Fathers found the perfect spot!
My Buddy and me.
Little boys and leaves results in endless hours of fun!
Bekah and Madi on the swing.
Sharing laughs on the front porch. It was so good getting to visit with all the Smith ladies!
Daddy, Mr. Scott and Noah.
